Personal Life & Experiences

Hi! My name is Aric Marshall and I've been playing the piano since I was the age of seven. I remember vividly the day I was asked by my dad if I wanted to take piano lessons and my response was that of any young child, "sure, I guess so". From that first lesson to today I have never enjoyed something so much as to play and continue to learn on the piano. It is my "go-to" instrument when I just want to be creative. I have also been playing and teaching the saxophone since in college. I have been teaching both young and old music simply for the enjoyment of watching the learning process and how much joy it brings to all ages. Most of my experience has be within the church where I have lead music, directed choirs, and coordinated worship bands to bring music to the church each Sunday. I have also directed many Christmas and Easter musicals and special events. My experience goes beyond the church as well where I have been a music teacher at a private school where I taught JH/HS Band and Choir, directed the orchestra for a Singing Christmas Tree program and been a part of the musical pit for our Spring musical. I played the saxophone for a short season with the Klamath Falls Symphony which was an extremely wonderful experience. I became the keyboardist for Cheyenne Goss (American Idol contestant) which was all kinds of fun! Over the years I've played for jazz bands, worship bands, fairground stages, in Jamaica, for the University of Oregon Marching, Jazz and Concert bands, and in many churches. I am now a professor of Worship Arts at St. Louis Christian College where I lead, teach, mentor, and enjoy the students who participate in my classes. Simply said, I love to teach!
